Volunteer with Children
After-School Tutor
Work 1-on-1 and in small groups with children to help them become successful readers.
Summer Volunteer
Read with students and help out during activities to support learning retention over the summer months.
Homework Helper
Spend one-on-one homework time with a youth between the ages of 5 and 12.
Ideal Commitment: 1 day/week, 30–60 min
Intern
Gain valuable experience while making an impact on students in our program.
Ideal Commitment: At least 2 days/week, 2-3 hours/day
Volunteer with Youth
Mentor (7th–9th Grade)
Work 1-on-1 with a student to help them develop good study habits and life skills as they move from middle school to high school.
Ideal Commitment: 1 day/week (Mon, 6:00–7:30 pm) during the academic year
Mentor (10th–12th Grade)
Provide that extra layer of support a student needs to graduate from high school and explore college and career options.
Ideal Commitment: 1 day/week (Wed, 6:00–8:00 pm) during the academic year
Intern

Mentor
Participate in a team environment to provide support to local youth, build positive relationships, and share resources to help them reach their potential.

Get hands-on experience as you complete your social work or psychology internship through your undergraduate or graduate program.

Lead a nutrition workshop or fitness activities with our Super-H students.

Erie Associate Board Member
Members will provide support to the organization by fundraising through Associate Board events, individual donations, in-kind gift solicitation, and corporate support. Additionally, members will help identify new individuals and institutions that can support Erie House. All members will work closely with Erie House’s Development and Communications staff to stay well-informed about Erie House and Board matters and contribute to meeting the Board’s goals.
